PLANET EARTH FESTIVAL
TOWN OF BASSENDEAN TO BRING PLANET EARTH FESTIVAL ALIVE!
The Town of Bassendean is inviting the whole community to join them at their first fun filled carbon offset event called ‘Planet Earth Festival.’
DATE & TIME: Saturday 6th December 2008 from 4.00pm – 9.00pm and Sunday 7th December from 11.00am – 3.00pm.
LOCATION: The event will take place in the Bassendean Town Centre with Old Perth Road being closed off for the festival.
ENTERTAINMENT: Live bands will entertain crowds over the two-day festival. Other entertainment will include a street parade on the Sunday involving local school children, as well as street performers and buskers. Delightful delicacies from local food vendors will be there to tempt the taste buds and amusement rides to keep the adults and the kids on their toes.
Balloon artists and Old MacDonald’s farm will be ready to impress and for the first time ever, a Freestyle BMX Competition will take place over the two days of the festival, with a ghetto style theme and an attractive amount of prize money up for grabs.
ACCESS: Ten-minute drive from the city, Ashfield train station is nearby.
